An embedded marketing and technology partner, not an agency retainer

Marley Marketing is one person, not a department. I embed inside a small number of client businesses as a hands-on marketing and technology lead, covering the ground a whole team usually would.

Zac Marley, founder of Marley Marketing

I grew up around business. Having family who built and ran their own made success feel achievable rather than abstract, and gave me a genuinely supportive start. I'm grateful for that.

University taught me one thing clearly — I learn by doing, not in theory. Case studies and hypotheticals never landed the way real client stakes did, so I stopped waiting for the classroom to catch up and went looking for real work instead: internships and placements wherever I could get them, including one at a travel-tech startup, where I met a mentor who went on to run a startup SEO agency. A sports marketing internship in China and a half a pandemic later, that connection became my first role out of university, and it's where I caught the entrepreneurial bug.

I didn't act on it straight away. I deliberately spent the next few years building real, tangible skills, first agency-side across SEO, PR, and paid media, then in-house running marketing solo for an international recruitment agency, before I trusted myself to be genuinely useful to a client rather than just available. I launched Marley Marketing in January 2025 after some travelling and reflection for exactly that reason, and it's still how I decide what to take on: only work where I know I can make an impact, not just fill a retainer.

I embed, I don't dial in

LV Bespoke first got in touch about a Business Development Manager role. Discovery showed what the business actually needed was structure: a proper CRM, clean data, and someone to own ecommerce and marketplace operations end-to-end. That conversation became an embedded marketing and technology lead role, I've been LV Bespoke's sole internal HubSpot admin and marketing function since October 2025, covering everything from CRM and email to Shopify, B&Q/Kingfisher, Homebase, and Virtualstock.

Five disciplines, one point of contact

Most growing businesses end up piecing together a freelancer for ads, another for the website, someone else for email, and hoping it all joins up. I cover performance marketing, CRM & automation, ecommerce & marketplaces, web & SEO/GEO, and AI & workflow myself, so strategy and execution stay connected instead of getting lost between different suppliers.

Built lean, on purpose

I use Claude Code and AI-assisted workflows to build and ship faster, the 5Twelve Elite Football site was designed and built end-to-end this way. It's not the headline service, it's one of the reasons I can deliver at a pace and cost a traditional agency structure usually can't match.

Real client relationships, not case studies for their own sake
